Urgent Technology is revolutionising the way the maintenance industry connects

Our company has grown rapidly since its foundation in 1997, and today our software is used in over 30,000 locations, in 27 countries across Europe, North America, Africa and Australasia.

We’ve worked with companies in a variety of sectors, including retail, healthcare and hospitality. There are currently more than 40,000 contractors registered on our software.

Our history

  • In 2003, BP began a trial of Urgent Technology’s facilities maintenance management software across its UK petrol retail network.
  • The success of the trial let to the international roll-out of the software which is now in use in approximately 18,000 BP filling stations in 16 countries.
  • In June 2010, Urgent Technology was acquired by Techniche Ltd., an investor in profitable IT companies headquartered in Brisbane, Australia.

Urgent Technology was founded in 1997 to build custom web-based applications. It has evolved over the past 20 years to become the organisation it is today: a focused company that develops and markets a single SaaS platform to manage assets and FM for businesses around the world.

Our head office is in Milton Keynes, where we work closely in teams to meet our customers’ and prospective customers’ needs. Every individual has the opportunity to make a positive, tangible contribution to our ongoing success.

Business Development Manager (posted 19/02/18)

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced, entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to drive FM software and professional services revenues for Urgent Technology in EMEA. You will receive sales, marketing and technical support from head office, but must be self-motivated and able to work independently.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify, qualify and close new business opportunities in EMEA
  • Establish contacts and network within the facilities management industry
  • Develop relationships with existing industry partners and identify new partner opportunities
  • Handle complex, high value sales
  • Upsell and cross-sell additional products and services to existing customer base

Account Manager (posted 19/02/18)

We need an experienced Account Manager to join the team at Urgent Technology in Milton Keynes. You will be responsible for maintaining existing client accounts and building long-standing profitable customer relationships.

This is an ideal move if you are looking to further your career in SaaS software account management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of exisiting clients and develop a deep understanding of their business requirements
  • Ensure timely contract and subscription renewals
  • Provide exceptional account management for business and technical requests
  • Function as a product expert for customers
  • Identify new sales opportunities within customer accounts and encourage increased use of our products
  • Provide product demonstrations to highlight the key benefits and value of our products
  • Manage a pipeline of sales opportunities and meet annual sales targets


  • 5+ years account management experience with demonstrable success in hitting renewal targets, growing revenue and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Ability to manage large, strategically important accounts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good understanding of technology and how it can be applied to different business processes
  • Excellent negotiation skills and commercial awareness
  • Proactive, self-starter with abilility to work independently
  • Knowledge of the facilities management industry desirable, but not essential
  • Flexibility to travel to customer site meetings
